Equipment List

Harvest will provide major group equipment, including tents for camping (all trips camp in tents) and stoves for cooking. You will be responsible for your personal equipment, listed below. Please read this list carefully. Remember to look in your attic or basement before you go to the store. We have a limited number of sleeping bags which can be borrowed from us.

Though we will be staying on one farm for the entire Harvest trip, we don’t want to show up with enough stuff to fill up a barn (or tent)! Limit yourself to ONE medium-sized duffel bag or frame pack for this trip. While you should leave your hair-dryer at home, farm living does allow for some amenities, so bring along your guitar or favorite songbook to share on the trip. Most of your belongings will already be able to be dropped off in your rooms.

Please note that in order to maximize time spent on farms, Harvest has a no phone policy. Upon arriving at each site, trip leaders will collect cell phones from all Harvesters and keep them safely secured. Each day, trip leaders will be in communication with the Harvest Program Director about the status of each trip. We will contact families or friends of students as needed, and in important cases, will connect both sides directly.

Should families and friends need to contact a student, their first point-of-contact is the Harvest Program Director.
